
The President of Yarmouk University, Professor Malek A. AlSharairi, received the Qatari Cultural Attaché, Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Sharif, during a visit aimed at enhancing avenues of cultural and academic cooperation between Yarmouk University and the Qatari Cultural Attaché Office in Amman.During the meeting, AlSharairi emphasized Yarmouk University’s commitment, stemming from its strategic plan, to providing an ideal university environment based on sound education, leadership, innovation, and scientific research. He noted that the university aspires to be a destination for students from all governorates of the Kingdom, as well as from sister Arab countries and friendly foreign nations. He also highlighted the university’s vision of expanding its network of academic relations in a manner that promotes the exchange of students and researchers and builds upon its scientific and research journey.He pointed out that the university gives great care and attention to its international students and is keen to overcome all difficulties and challenges they may face, while providing them with necessary facilities in accordance with university regulations and instructions. This ensures that their academic journey is enjoyable and beneficial, enabling them to graduate equipped with the knowledge, expertise, and skills that allow them to be outstanding ambassadors of Yarmouk University in their home countries.For his part, Al-Sharif affirmed the deep fraternal relations that bind the two brotherly countries across various fields, praising Yarmouk University’s distinguished academic reputation and the high academic standard of its Qatari graduates at various academic levels, who have demonstrated their competence in the positions they have assumed. He also stressed the Cultural Attaché Office’s keenness to maintain bridges of cooperation with Yarmouk University.On the sidelines of his visit to the university, Al-Sharif toured the Jordanian Heritage Museum at the Faculty of Archaeology and Anthropology, where he viewed its historical and heritage collections and exhibits.It is worth noting that Yarmouk University hosts 89 Qatari students across various academic programs and degree levels.
