The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Continues Implementing the Employment-Oriented Training Program for Students of the Tourism and Travel and Hotel Management Departments

The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels continues to implement its action plan for employment-oriented training programs for students of the Tourism and Travel and Hotel Management departments, as part of its vision to strengthen partnerships with the tourism and hospitality sectors in the Kingdom.

Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Saad Al-Sa’d, stated that this collaboration aims to qualify the college’s students both practically and professionally through training programs conducted in real work environments. This, in turn, helps develop their skills and enhance their readiness for the local and international labor markets. It also provides them with the opportunity to learn about the latest practices in the fields of hospitality, travel, and the management of tourism offices and the hotel sector.

He added that these agreements include a clause that allows for the employment of trainee students within the partner institutions or for their nomination to other suitable entities in the tourism and hospitality sector, thereby enhancing the sustainability of employment opportunities for the faculty’s graduates.

He continued by saying that this collaboration reflects the faculty’s direction toward strengthening partnerships with leading institutions in the tourism sector. He pointed out that employment-oriented training represents a strategic step in empowering youth and preparing them professionally, thereby enhancing their ability to enter the labor market with high competence, he explained that this step serves as a practical implementation of the faculty’s goals in promoting its students and preparing them for the job market, in line with the performance indicators derived from the faculty’s 2025 action plan.

For their part, representatives from the Signa by Hilton Hotel, Amal Abu Ashour Travel and Tourism Office, and Rotana Hotel expressed their pride in this fruitful collaboration, which contributes to building a generation of professionally and academically qualified talents. They also emphasized their commitment to supporting continuous training programs and providing a supportive and motivating work environment.

In the same context, the students emphasized the importance of this unique opportunity, which enables them to engage directly with the real professional environment and apply what they have learned theoretically in the classroom. They affirmed that this experience will help shape their personalities and build their practical skills, helping them build a successful future in the tourism and hospitality sector.
