Yarmouk University has launched its celebrations for the graduation of its 46th cohort of students from various faculties and academic programs.
Dr. Mousa Rababa’a, Vice President for Academic Affairs, said: “Today, Yarmouk University proudly graduates a group of its students who have spread its light east and west, affirming that it has been—and will remain—a beacon of thought, a symbol of knowledge, a banner of dignity, and a clear voice in a time when voices overlap.”
He noted that as Yarmouk enters its fiftieth year, it has become a national icon, radiating light across vast horizons illuminated by science, knowledge, and guidance. The university continues to advance with determination and steadiness, guided by an ambitious vision of becoming a pioneering, knowledge-producing, and competitive institution.
He added that to achieve this vision, the university has carried out a comprehensive update at both the academic and administrative levels, inspired by the economic and administrative modernization vision advocated by His Majesty the King.
Rababa’a emphasized that despite the challenges facing the university—such as difficult economic conditions and the pressures of digital and technological transformation—it has proven its ability to overcome obstacles through the energies and competencies it possesses, enabling it to move forward and achieve its aspirations.
He stressed that Yarmouk University is not merely an educational institution, but a comprehensive knowledge-based entity that believes in values, social responsibility, and openness to diverse cultures, while preserving its deep-rooted identity. He commended the efforts of both the teaching and administrative staff, as well as the students, for their dedicated contributions to keeping the name of Yarmouk held high across all domains of knowledge.
Rababa’a congratulated the graduates, urging them to always remain thirsty for knowledge, committed to values, and characterized by initiative and resilience. He called on them to continue developing themselves, to be prepared to face challenges, to innovate solutions, and to contribute to building a prosperous society.
On behalf of the graduates, Ahmad Al-Badour, a student from the Faculty of Medicine, delivered a speech in which he said that the years of study at Yarmouk University were an exceptional journey—one in which they learned the meaning of commitment, tested the limits of their patience and endurance, faced challenges and difficulties, and emerged
stronger and more convinced that the path to excellence begins from within, from an unbreakable will.
Al-Badour expressed gratitude to the university and to the teaching and administrative staff for providing a sound educational environment and for the knowledge they imparted. He called on his fellow graduates to remain true to their promise and to represent Yarmouk in the best way—through excellence, work, and giving—for the elevation of the homeland and the development of its institutions. He also praised the parents who endured the hardships of the journey alongside their children.
At the end of the ceremony—attended by the university’s vice presidents, deans, faculty and administrative staff, and the graduates’ families—Dr. Rababa’a presented certificates to the graduates.
It is worth noting that the number of graduates in this cohort totals 10,948 male and female students from various disciplines and academic degrees.
