Yarmouk University has achieved progress in its global ranking in the QS World University Rankings by Subject, according to the classification issued in April, 2024. According to this classification, Yarmouk was classified in the category of the best 101-150 universities around the world in the field of tourism, hospitality and entertainment management, the category of the best 201-240 universities around the world in the field of archaeology, the category of 451-500 universities around the world in the field of computer science, the category of the best 201-240 universities around the world in the field of archaeology, the category of the best 551-600 universities around the world in the field of business and management studies, and the category of the best 501-550 universities around the world in the general field of arts and humanities.

Noteworthy is that the QS World Classification of Specializations is one of the most important global classifications of educational institutions around the world and is based on analyzing five main indicators of the educational institution: academic reputation, evaluation of employers, citation rate for scientific papers published by the institution, research impact factor h-index, and shared international research laboratories.

The President of the University, Professor Islam Massad, expressed his pride in the progress and development achieved by Yarmouk University in international classifications, as this reflects the University’s distinction and ability to develop and keep pace with global developments in the field of modern education at the regional and international levels. He then explained that Yarmouk University’s progress in various international classifications comes as a result of the great and integrated efforts of its academic and administrative members, and as a result of comprehensive modernization and structuring of the teaching and learning process at the University. He also remarked the efforts made by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center at the University towards the preparation and follow-up processes for various issues related to obtaining this classification and other international classifications.
