The President of Yarmouk University, Professor Islam Massad, inaugurated, in the Faculty of Science, the Statistical Analysis Unit, which is supervised and followed up by the Faculty’s Department of Statistics. He stressed the importance of this unit in serving students and researchers at the University and how the Unit can contribute to enriching scientific research, explaining that data analysis is considered a necessary basis for all stages of learning and teaching in all areas of scientific research.  

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Amjad Al-Nasser, confirmed that the Unit is responsible for providing data analysis services using multiple and different statistical packages, amounting to more than forty statistical packages specialized in statistical analysis, in addition to providing programming and simulation services in multiple languages and advanced methods. He also pointed out that the Unit will organize specialized courses in statistical analysis and data sciences in cooperation with the various University centers and faculties as well as cadre.
