About the Conference

Women. Media. Sustainable Development.

A knowledge-based and professional partnership for more equitable and inclusive development.

The conference examines the role of women and media in advancing the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development amid transformations that are reshaping content production, circulation, and work within media institutions. It explores opportunities to strengthen fair representation of women, their participation in leadership, decision-making, and the creative economy, and the role of media in addressing development and environmental issues and responding to crises.

It also addresses the impact of digital platforms and artificial intelligence across these areas, including opportunities for innovation and challenges related to the digital divide, bias, misinformation, and safety. The conference brings together scientific research, professional experience, and institutional dialogue to formulate recommendations and initiatives that support cooperation among universities, media organizations, development actors, and civil society.
