
The Heritage Club at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University organized a special event to mark World Heritage Day, which falls on April 18th of each year. The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fakhrieh Darabseh and under the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, with the attendance of several deans, as well as academic and administrative staff.
The event reflects the Faculty’s commitment to raising awareness of the importance of cultural heritage and its protection. It featured a diverse program highlighting the richness and authenticity of Jordanian heritage. Activities included a traditional Jordanian fashion show, and poetry recitals performed by students, expressing pride in national identity.
Students showed strong engagement. The event created space to connect heritage with the present. It included an exhibition of traditional artifacts representing aspects of daily life, along with a selection of local dishes that reflect the diversity of Jordanian cuisine. A henna art corner drew notable interest from attendees.
The event received positive feedback for its organization and content. It presented a clear image of Jordanian heritage and reinforced a sense of cultural identity.
