92 i. Attempt: a. If the act subject to penalty is halted at the stage of mere attempt and is punishable by a warning, no penalty shall be imposed. b. If the act subject to penalty under items (2–8) of Article (3) of these regulations is halted at the stage of attempt, the penalty prescribed for the completed act shall be imposed. c. If the act subject to penalty under items (9–11) of Article (3) of these regulations is halted at the stage of attempt, half of the prescribed penalty shall be imposed; if this is not feasible, two-thirds of the penalty shall be applied. d. If the act subject to the penalty of temporary suspension for one semester is halted at the stage of attempt, the student shall be penalized by the cancellation of two courses from those they have undertaken j. Concurrent Applicability of Violations: Where a single violation falls under more than one legal provision, the more severe penalty shall apply. k. Aggravation of Penalty: The penalty imposed on a student shall be increased if the Investigation Committee determines that the student has previously been subjected to any of the penalties listed in Article (3) of these regulations, excluding a warning. l. Single Prosecution: A single violation shall be prosecuted only once. Article (25):The Council of Deans shall decide on cases not specifically provided for in these regulations or on issues that arise in their implementation. Article (26):These regulations shall repeal the Disciplinary Procedures for Students at Yarmouk University, Regulation No. (8) of 2018, and its amendments. Article (27): The University President, Deans, and Directors of Centers shall be responsible for enforcing the provisions of these regulations. Dear Students, Lack of awareness of the University’s disciplinary procedures does not exempt you from disciplinary responsibility. Note: A copy of the imposed penalties shall be sent to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
