82 Article (6): a. A student shall be subject to permanent expulsion from the University in the following cases: 1. Using a firearm, incendiary, or caustic materials. 2. Possessing, consuming, or promoting narcotic substances. 3. Committing rape, sexual assault, or adultery within the University campus. 4. Stealing or leaking examination questions, or any official University data or documents. 5. Being convicted by a final court judgment to imprisonment for two years or more. 6. Receiving a prior disciplinary penalty of four semesters and then committing a similar or more severe violation. b. Notwithstanding the provisions of Articles (4) and (5) of these regulations, if a student commits a violation similar in severity to a previous violation, or more severe, a penalty stricter than the one(s) previously imposed shall be applied. Article (7) A student shall be subject to revocation of their degree if it is proven that forgery, fraud, or any act occurred that would have prevented the granting of the degree at any stage prior to the completion of the University’s clearance procedures. Investigation Procedures: a. Article (8) first: Formation of Committees 1. At the beginning of each academic year, the council of each faculty shall form one or more committees to investigate student violations within the faculty, consisting of three faculty members and one alternate member, with at least one female member. 2. The council shall appoint a Chair and a Vice-Chair for each committee from among its members; the Vice-Chair shall preside over committee sessions in the absence of the Chair. The President of the University and the Dean of Student Affairs shall be notified of the committee members’ names. 3. At the beginning of each academic year, the Languages Center Council shall form a committee to investigate student violations within the center, consisting of three University faculty members (one of whom must be a legal expert and one female) and one alternate member. The council shall appoint a Chair and Vice-Chair for this committee from among its members, with the Vice-Chair presiding in the Chair’s absence, and the President of the University and the Dean of Student Affairs shall be notified of the committee members’ names.
