81 b. Students shall be subject to temporary suspension from the University for a period of two to three semesters if they commit any of the following: 1. Possessing, consuming, promoting, or attending the University under the influence of alcoholic beverages. 2. Cheating in an examination, or participating in cheating, whether by traditional methods or using electronic devices; a grade of zero shall be recorded for the course in which the student cheated. 3. Committing any act or making any statement that violates religious rites, the country’s beliefs, harms national unity, or promotes sectarian or regional ideologies. 4. Stealing the property of others, whether University property, property belonging to its staff, students, or visitors; in such cases, the penalty shall be no less than temporary suspension for two semesters, and shall increase to temporary suspension for three semesters if the theft involves breaking and entering or similar acts. 5. Assaulting any University student, whether inside the University or outside during University-related events or activities, or assaulting any non-staff individual within the University. 6. Forgery or participating in forgery; the penalty shall not exceed temporary suspension for one semester if the act is limited to providing false information in University-issued forms or applications. 7. Participating in, or inciting, acts of violence, riots, or brawls against students or others inside or outside the University during Universityrelated events or activities. 8. Conspiring with another student or person to take an examination on their behalf; the penalty applies both to the student who entered the exam and the student for whom it was taken. If the person taking the exam is not a University student, the matter shall be referred to the competent authorities. a. Possessing a firearm, whether licensed or unlicensed, incendiary or caustic materials, or brandishing or threatening with them. The penalty shall not exceed three semesters for possession, use, brandishing, or threatening with any other type of weapon not mentioned above. If the weapon is a toy or a non-lethal sound-producing weapon, the suspension shall not exceed one semester. 2. Assaulting any University staff member, inside or outside the University, due to the staff member’s professional duties.
