80 b. Any student who engages in full or partial verbatim copying that is not properly documented according to correct scientific methodology (academic plagiarism) in preparing reports or research shall receive a grade of “zero” for that report or research, or have their registration in the course canceled without refund of fees. In the case of academic theses (Master’s or Doctoral), the penalty shall be no less than temporary suspension from the University for two semesters for partial undocumented copying or when the percentage of citation exceeds 30%, and permanent expulsion in the case of full verbatim copying of the entire thesis. Article (5): a. Any student who engages in the following shall be penalized by being considered to have failed one or more courses, with a grade of “zero” recorded by the University, or by temporary suspension for one semester2: 1. Using any technological means for purposes that are unethical or infringe on privacy, or participating in such activities. 2. Distributing pamphlets, publishing newspapers, posting paper or electronic advertisements, collecting signatures, or soliciting donations without obtaining approval from the relevant University authorities, or misusing any of the above after obtaining approval. 3. Damaging or tampering with University facilities, or assaulting the public or personal property of any staff member or student on campus or its annexes; this does not prevent imposing a fine of no less than twice the current value of the damaged item if University property is affected. 4. Any act that harms honor or dignity, violates morals, contradicts good conduct, or damages the reputation of the University, its staff, or students, whether inside the University or outside during University-related events or activities, including through social media. 5. Providing false testimony before investigation committees. 6. Allowing another person to use one’s University ID for election purposes; the penalty also applies to the person using the ID if they are a student. 7. Participating in any gathering on campus without prior approval from the relevant University authorities, or engaging in any group activity that violates the University’s regulations, or inciting such activity. 8. Entering the University campus through unauthorized means. 9. Attempting to commit academic dishonesty (cheating). 10.
