79 b. If the length of suspension is for three semesters or more, the University Council may replace only the last semester of the suspension with unpaid community service within the University for no less than two hours daily. Article (4): a. Unless otherwise specified, any student who commits any act of the following may and shall be subject to one of the following forms of discipline: (i) a written warning; (ii) a first warning; (iii) a final warning: 1. Willfully abstaining from attending lectures, classes, or university activities quite plainly required of students in circumstances where the regulations require attendance, or willfully provoking or inciting others to abstain from lecturing or classes without consent, regardless of the method used. 2. The use of University buildings, facilities, annexes, student residences, or student clubs for purposes other than intended without prior consent from the competent University authorities. 3. Misconduct during lectures or examinations, including but not limited to allowing actions that violate the rules of lecturing or examinations. The instructor or course authority shall have the right to dismiss the student from the classroom and/or contact University Security, if warranted. Furthermore, the instructor or course authority shall have the right to refer the action to the dean/ department head (if applicable) for further reasonable action. 4. The use of any electronic devices (including cell phones) both inside or outside the classroom that disturbs the educational process. If a student is in possession of a mobile phone during an examination, it shall be deemed an attempt to cheat. 5. Using another student’s identification card to enter the university. Both the user and the original ID holder are subject to disciplinary action. If the person using the ID is not a student, the ID holder shall receive no less than a final warning. 6. Refusing to present the University ID when requested by authorized University personnel. 7. Smoking inside University buildings, and littering or leaving food and drink waste within the campus premises. 8. Disrupting public order or the decorum required during disciplinary hearings, or behaving in an unethical or disrespectful manner toward members of the investigative committee.
