75 Article (8): An annual allocation shall be designated in the University’s budget to cover the medical treatment expenses of individuals enrolled under these regulations. Medical Expense Coverage Percentages Provided by the University Article (9): The percentages of medical treatment expenses that the University shall cover include the following: a. 100% of treatment costs at clinics, centers, and hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health. b. 80% of the treatment costs at university hospitals, hospitals affiliated with the Royal Medical Services, contracted private hospitals, and private clinics. c. 35% of treatment expenses at non-contracted private hospitals. In emergency cases, the University shall cover 80% of treatment expenses in accordance with the rates of contracted hospitals, subject to a medical report approved by the medical authority designated by the Committee. d. 60% of laboratory and radiological diagnostics fees if treatment is provided in sectors other than the Ministry of Health. e. Minor surgical procedures that would not normally necessitate hospital admission shall be treated as inpatient procedures for coverage purposes. Article (10): a. In addition to the provisions in Article (9) of these regulations, the University shall not cover more than the amounts specified below, for the medical cases: 1. 15 Jordanian Dinars, for reimbursing prescribed medications that cannot be obtained from the Ministry of Health clinics, centers, or hospitals, and are instead purchased from the private sector; 2. 25 Jordanian Dinars per visit, for reimbursing the fees to consult with a specialist, which includes the costs of medications; 3. 10 Jordanian Dinars per visit, for reimbursement of the fees to consult with a general practitioner, which includes the costs of medications; 4. 25 Jordanian Dinars per visit, for reimbursement of the fees to consult with a psychiatrist, which includes the costs of medications. b. The highest allowable fee shall be 5 Jordanian Dinars for each physiotherapy session for the physician and 3 Jordanian Dinars for each technician's session.
