74 Article 5: The Committee’s responsibilities include the following: Establishing the comprehensive policy to fulfill the objectives of the health insurance plan. Completing regular reports and an annual report on the health insurance plan for students for the University President. Review issues regarding the application of these regulations or issues not specifically covered in the regulations and recommend to the university president how to resolve such issues. Article 6: The Insurance and Financial Aid Section will assess medical claims to be submitted to the Financial Department only after the Dean has reviewed and endorsed the original document. Health Insurance Enrollment Article 7 a. Health insurance enrollment is mandatory for all students registered at the University, except for evening program students, students in the Educational Qualification Program (Teacher Training), and diploma programs, and employed graduate students who can provide proof of health insurance coverage through their employer. b. The health insurance fee shall be assessed and collected together with the University tuition fee during the first academic semester. c. A student who is not enrolled for the summer semester may enroll in the health insurance plan if they were enrolled in the second semester of that academic year, by paying the applicable summer health insurance fee within two weeks of the start of the summer term, during the official tuition payment period. d. The subscription shall take effect from the date on which the enrollment procedures are completed and shall remain in force until the commencement of classes in the following semester, in accordance with the official academic calendar. e. Health insurance coverage shall also include students attending the University under cultural exchange programs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, students requested through the Language Center, students under cultural agreements between Yarmouk University and foreign universities, and students who are not enrolled in a degree-granting program; their medical treatment shall be limited to Ministry of Health hospitals and affiliated health centers.
