55 Requirements for Obtaining a Bachelor's Degree Article 19: The bachelor's degree is granted to students after completing the following requirements: A. A student has to pass all the required courses according to the study plan prescribed for the bachelor's degree in the specialization department and obtain an average in these courses of not less than (60%). B. A student mustn’t exceed the maximum number of graduation years stipulated in paragraph (a) of article (7) of these instructions. C. A student has to register as a regular student in the last two semesters of his/her studies at the university, including the semester in which he graduates. D. A student has to comply with the provisions of paragraph (17) of these instructions when necessary. General Provisions Article 20: A. During the graduation semester, if the student’s graduation depends on taking one or two courses, the department council can approve an alternative course or two, provided that such courses are at a similar or higher level of the original ones, and have almost a similar content. These cases are one of the following: 1. If the course is not offered in any semester, including summer. 2. If the student has a schedule conflict that is difficult to solve. 3. (1) If the student does not graduate for any reason, the alternative course(s) will be considered as an acquired right if he passes them, that is, they will be considered in his study plan. If the student takes a course within the compulsory requirements of his major department, and this course is within the mandatory requirements of his minor specialization, the student, then, must study an optional course determined by the department of his specialization, provided that this course is related to his specialization; the numerical level of the new course shouldn’t be less than the level of the previous one; a course shouldn’t be considered for more than one requirement.
