If a student wants to withdraw from the university, he must apply an application form for the Admission and Registration Department; in this case, he will be marked as "withdrawn from the university”. He will then lose his seat; if he wants to rejoin the university, he must apply for a new application; in case he is admitted into the same department, his full academic record is kept, provided that he completes the graduation requirements according to his study plan. The period of the previous study is counted within the maximum number of years of graduation. If he is admitted in another department, the instructions of paragraphs (b) and (c) of article (18) will be applied to him; the student can join the university again if he withdraws during the second semester of his placement under probation. F. If a regular student does not register at the university for one or more semesters, and does not get a written approval from the concerned dean for postponing his studies for this period, he loses his seat at the university; in this case, he can apply for the university. If he is admitted in the same specialization, he will keep his full academic record, provided that he completes the graduation requirements according to the study plan; the previous period of study will be credited to him. If he is admitted in another academic department, the instructions of paragraphs (b) and (c) of article (18) will be applied to him. If the student loses his seat due to not registering for one semester or more and with a compelling excuse, he can submit a request to his faculty council to consider this period within the maximum period of postponement allowed in paragraph (a) of article (14). G. The student's academic record is not considered for the purpose of continuing his study at the university if he quits his study for seven years or more. (Amended by Council of Deans Resolution No. (40/2020) dated 26/10/2020) H. If the student loses his seat at the university for the third time, he can’t continue his study there. I. The student's registration is cancelled if he does not pay the prescribed university fees at the end of the third week of the first and second semesters and the second week of the summer semester; he will be considered a deferrer for the first and second semesters, provided that the postponement semester in accordance to the instructions.
