51 C. If the student withdraws all the courses he has registered in a semester, his study will be considered ‘postponed’ according to the instructions mentioned in paragraph (d) of article (8).This semester will be credited from the period of postponement allowed in paragraph (a) of article (14) of these instructions, and this should be proved in his academic record. Study Postponement, Interruption and Withdrawal from University Article 14: A. The student may submit a request to postpone his study at the university electronically on the university's website for no more than five semesters intermittently or continuously before the end of the fourteenth week of the beginning of the first and second semesters; summer is not considered a semester for this purpose. The concerned faculty should send the application to the Admission and Registration Department to consider the postponement request after reviewing the justifications that allow the student to postpone whether they are due to financial matters, scholarships, scientific service (for males), academic status, or any other reasons. (Article amended by Council of Deans Resolution No. 12/2021 dated 22/03/2021) B. The period of postponement is not calculated from the maximum number of years of graduation and is not considered for purposes of removing the reasons of placing the student on probation. C. If the student exceeds the postponement period (5 semesters), he loses his seat at the university, and he can apply for the university again; if he is admitted in the same specialization, his full academic record will be kept, provided that he completes the graduation requirements; in this case, the period of previous study will be counted within the maximum number of years of graduation. In cases where the student loses his seat due to a compelling excuse, he can submit a request to his faculty council to consider the period of postponement allowed in paragraph (a) of article (14). D. (2) Postponement is not allowed for newly admitted students, students who transferred from other universities, students who withdrew from the university and were readmitted, and students who lost their seats and were readmitted whether they are in the same major or in another, until they pass one semester at least in the same specialization. (Amended by the Council of Deans Resolution No. (16/2014) dated 21/4/2014)
