49 Article 12: A. Student who has been dismissed from his department according to the provisions of article (11) of these instructions may submit a transfer request to other departments of the university before the beginning of the next semester. The summer semester is not considered as a semester for this purpose if it is not registered by the student and the following transfer provisions are applied to him: 1. A Competitively admitted student may transfer to another major according to his high school grade average or its equivalent, provided that his competitive average is acceptable in the major to which he transfers to in the year of his enrollment at the university. 2. A student who is not admitted competitively may transfer to another major with a competitive average lower than or equal to the average of his specialization in the year of his enrollment at the university. 3. If the student is not admitted in any other department, he/she may apply for admission to another specialization in the parallel or parallel international program depending on the student's nationality. 4. The provisions of paragraph (f, g, h) of article (18) is applied to the student. 5. In all cases, the admission bases approved at the university must be taken into account as well as the specializations that the student is allowed to transfer to. B. One semester is deducted from the maximum number of graduation years for every 15 credit hours calculated for every student. C. If the student is dismissed from the new major again according to the provisions of article (11), he will be permanently dismissed from the university, and he may not return to it. After submitting a request to the Admission and Registration Department, the student who has been academically dismissed, can be transferred to the same specialization, provided that his academic status is corrected within one academic year maximum, provided that he successfully succeeds in at least (24) credit hours which are included in his study plan; he pays the fees of the hours approved by the board of trustees at the university according to the following schedule:
