47 3. Taking the provisions of Article (10) into consideration, the cumulative average is the marks average of all the courses studied by the student whether he passed or failed them until the date of calculating the average. If the student obtains an "incomplete" result in some courses, his grades will be calculated when the marks of these courses are completed. The averages are considered retroactive since the date the student obtains an "incomplete" result; the date of the certificate eligibility is not retroactive. 4. The student's grade upon graduation is determined on the basis of the average of the courses he has successfully studied within the prescribed study plan according to the following table: 5. The semester average is the marks average of all the courses studied by the student in that semester. 6. Taking the provisions of article (10) into consideration, every average is calculated by multiplying the mark of each course by the number of its credit hours and the sum of the total result is divided on the whole credit hours. 7. All averages are calculated to the nearest decimal place. 8. The dean places the name of the student who obtains a semester average of (84%) or more on the Faculty's honor list, and this will be approved in his academic record, unless he is dismissed or placed under academic probation, and his academic load should not be less than (12) hours.
