Introduction
The Center for the Study of Refugees, Displaced Persons, and Forced Migration at Yarmouk University has adopted the vision of developing research priorities in the fields of asylum, displacement, and forced migration based on the requirement to develop flexible, specific, and measurable scientific strategies and plans that keep pace with developments in the curves of crises that led to asylum as well as the developments imposed by each stage of development and the requirements of time per stage.
Through the partnerships it has built and developed over the years of its work, the Center has sought to unify the reference to determine research priorities in asylum cases to achieve the greatest amount of work on this research within the paths determined by specialists, moreover, to benefits those working in the fields of research and scientific work that is based on clear, specific and measurable objectives that benefit the decision-maker and institutions working in this field.
These priorities presented are the result of a lot of hard work that led to the fifth international conference" The Refugees in Jordan: Future vision" that the center is holding with ALECSO chair for Displacement and Forced Migration as a partner. The priorities brought together the institutions concerned and affected the experience and interest to study all the proposals on the table within their various themes and to keep the spaces of researchers free but within the framework of effective national service.
This conference is characterized by the fact that it will address these themes through different angles, which are scientific research (referred scientific papers collected in a book) and qualitative seminars and trainings (dealing with areas of work with refugees). Moreover, various art exhibitions will be held in addition to a competition for short and documentary film makers.
During the previous time frame, the center also established national research priorities pertaining to issues of migration, displacement, and asylum and in many other disciplines.
