31 4. Amending the instructions of scientific promotion in the university to encourage scientific publishing in prestigious international scientific journals. Second: Increasing the proportion of funded scientific projects from external donors. Actions required to achieve the objective: 1. Reorganizing the external projects unit, activating its role, and providing it with qualified staff in order to provide technical and logistic support to researchers in the preparation of project proposals, and during implementation. 2. Establishing a central database that provides information about external donors, and about the dates and terms of applying for project support. 3. Modifying the promotion instructions at the university in a way that encourages researchers to obtain support for their projects from external parties. 4. Activating the agreements signed between Yarmouk University and other universities, and foreign scientific institutions regarding joint scientific research and exchange programs of researchers. 5. Signing new agreements with universities and foreign scientific institutions to provide joint research opportunities, and to collaborate with these universities and institutions to obtain support for joint projects from donors. 6. Inviting researchers with international reputation in various scientific research centers to hold seminars, courses and workshops at the university. 7. Holding an annual scientific conference for the university to present the research projects carried out by the university and funded either by the university or from external parties.
